The new resort community in Ras Al Khaimah

Mina Al Arab, referred to in English as Port of Arabia or Port Arabia, is a mixed use leisure and holiday beach resort development situated along the beach of Ras Al Khaimah. The AED 10 billion (US$ 2.7 billion) project will cover an area of 30 million square feet (2.8 million square meters) and be spread along 13 kilometers (8 miles) of a beachfront strip and a group of islands.

Mina Al Arab will feature numerous resort hotels, an Arabian Adventures theme park, a Thalasso Therapy center, a small water park, a marina, a heritage village and two eco-friendly hotels. The project will also contain a cluster of 3,500 residential units and 388 residential villas of various architectural styles.

Amenities at Mina Al Arab will include a harbour, pedestrian and bicycle pathway, traditional Arabian souk, 310 hectares of open spaces, ecological preserves and landscaping, traditional 'abra' water taxis, parks, medical facilities, mosque, cafes and restaurants, and recreational facilities such as gym, tennis courts, spas and sporting activities.

Port of Arabia's first phase is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2008.
